Juneteenth Year-Round: Northampton, Serving Nationwide

Juneteenth is not an event for us. It is how we operate.
We are breathing it, living it, and creating culture every day.

At Positively Africana By Aimee, we are building Juneteenth year-round in Northampton, Massachusetts and nationwide through authentic African culture, meaningful experiences, and community-centered programming rooted in purpose. Freedom, resilience, and Black joy are not seasonal. They are foundational to everything we do.

What Juneteenth Means Here

Juneteenth honors June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

For us, Juneteenth represents:

  • Freedom: the right to live fully, safely, and with dignity
  • Resilience: the strength to keep building, even when systems resist change
  • Joy: Black joy as a form of truth, creativity, and power
  • Legacy: honoring ancestors while investing in the next generation

These values are woven into every decision we make, every product we curate, and every experience we create.
