Brand Overview & Impact

Positively Africana By Aimee is a Black-owned, woman-owned, immigrant-owned African cultural brand based in Thornes Marketplace, Northampton MA. Founded by Congolese-born entrepreneur Aimee Salmon, the brand offers handmade African gifts, ethical African jewelry, and artisan products, alongside culturally rooted wellness experiences.

The brand reinvests 25% of all profits to support women entrepreneurs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, helping create sustainable income and preserve cultural craftsmanship. Positively Africana By Aimee also partners with artisans in Kenya and supports the Jitegemee Children’s Program, advancing ethical trade, education, and community development across Africa.
